We have substantial experience in the engineering, implementation and maintenance of public safety grade communication systems that includes; microwave backhaul solutions, P25 solutions, UHF/VHF solutions, narrow banding, dispatch center system integration, network design and integration and fiber backhaul. This vast and diversified experience allows us to provide our current and future customers with increased options and the ability to integrate a more diverse list of communication systems.

In 2010 AMK Services acquired Lectro-Communications Inc. Lectro-Communications had a long history of dedicated service to Public Safety Systems and users throughout central Indiana. By keeping the key personnel and adding an even more experienced team of engineers and technicians, AMK has been able to continue that tradition of excellent service for users in Madison County. Our facilities located throughout the Midwest allow us the advantage of responding to customer needs often in a matter of minutes, not hours, so that the systems we maintain continue to run at peak performance 24×7.

AMK Services continues to maintain a factory level diagnostic and repair facility in Fishers, IN that includes 3 factory trained repair technicians and a Harris certified systems engineer whose primary focus is the maintenance and support of Public Safety grade communications systems.

AMK Services has years of experience in providing cities, counties and public utilities with cost effective and superior communication systems.

The health and safety of AMK employees, and the public is a top priority. Stressing worker safety through engaged and proactive management practices documented in AMK’s corporate health and safety program, the application of our project-specific safety programs and the commitment to a zero-incident philosophy of our project leadership teams ensure a consistently low incident rate.

AMK and our major subcontractors have the latest and most comprehensive OSHA-based protection programs meeting or exceeding regulatory requirements. These programs include further development of project-specific elements to meet the specific needs of the County. Project Managers and work supervisors are accountable to ensure that the OSHA standards are properly implemented and enforced throughout the organization. These programs include health and safety instruction and training for all levels of the workforce and ensure that all workers have been issued the proper tools and personal protective equipment to allow them to perform their assigned tasks safely and effectively. The effectiveness of the safety program is monitored through informal and formal inspections and through regular audits of the work place. This includes tracking health and safety performance through existing safety databases to identify unfavorable trends and ensure corrective measures have been effectively implemented as required. These techniques and emphasis result in commitment of employees and subcontractors to safe practices and reduced project risk.

AMK is cognizant of the importance of safety on projects. We require all employees to understand the procedures for reporting a work-related injury or illness, the difference in correct and unsafe/unhealthy work conditions or practices, and that everyone complies with safe work practices. Documentation of applicable safety laws and OSHA regulations are posted, and all work complies with applicable federal laws and regulations.

AMK Services also requires its subcontractors to provide Safety Plans, especially those subcontractors dealing with heavy machinery constructing the sites and erecting towers. These teams are expected to have weekly safety meetings plus a short safety review before each workday to keep the “safety first” concept in the mind of each worker.
